Put on your walking shoes and help end Alzheimer’s

Lexington’s 2015 Walk to End Alzheimer’s will take place Sept. 26 with registration starting at 9 .m., and the walk at 10 a.m. at the Fayette County Courthouse, 120 N. Limestone.

The route length is 2 miles.

All funds raised through Walk to End Alzheimer’s further the care, support and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association which is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization.
Every walker must sign a standard waiver through their official registration. There is no registration fee for the walk, but every walker is asked to make a personal donation and commit to raising funds in the fight against Alzheimer’s.

Every registered participant will receive a T-shirt after achieving the fundraising minimum of $100. Unless otherwise communicated, T-shirts will be available for pick up on walk day.

Strollers are allowed, but for everyone’s safety, organizers discourage skateboards, bicycles, inline skates and wheelie footwear. The walk is a rain or shine event. However, in the case of severe weather, the walk will be cancelled.
