Taking the AARP Smart Driving Safety Course could earn you a discount on your automobile insurance premiums for three to five years.
The AARP Smart Driver Safety Course will be offered from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Oct. 18 at the Fayette County Extension Office, 1140 Harry Sykes Way, Lexington.
The program is a classroom course for drivers aged 50 and older. The course identifies many of the changes which occur as you age and suggests strategies for accommodating to those changes for safer driving.
Participants who complete the course will receive a certificate which many car insurance agencies honor with a discount.
The course is $15 for AARP members, $20 for non members.
