Community leaders, developers and dignitaries gathered for a ceremonial groundbreaking recently to celebrate a new senior living community in Somerset.

Bluegrass Senior Living will be the first Kentucky Farm Bureau senior living community in the state.
Construction of the new center will begin next month and will be completed in fall of 2019. The center will be conveniently located on Tower Circle Drive in MedPark West with easy access to the hospital and medical practitioners.

Conceived and developed by Kentucky Farm Bureau, Bluegrass Senior Living will offer personal care and secure memory care to seniors.
Exceptional Living Centers President and CEO Tom Watts remarked, “We are thrilled to partner with Kentucky Farm Bureau on this exciting project. As Somerset’s first memory care community, we want to give families the option to keep their loved ones local in a safe, secure environment. In conjunction with our personal care apartments, Bluegrass Senior Living will be equipped to address a wide variety of needs for today’s seniors.”

Exceptional Living Centers of Lexington will manage the daily operations of the center. Once open, the center expects to bring more than 40 new jobs to Pulaski County, including nursing, administrative and support services.

Exceptional Living Centers is a professional management company with a portfolio that includes 18 health care centers across the United States including skilled nursing centers, assisted living communities, senior independent living centers, and continuing care retirement communities.
