The University of Kentucky Sanders-Brown 8th annual Markesbery Symposium on Aging and Dementia community session is scheduled to take place from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, October 27.

Clinicians and researchers from the University of Kentucky and other institutions will come together to share current findings, trends and the latest updates on dementia and other aging disorders, particularly as they relate to Alzheimer’s disease and healthy brain aging.

The community session will take place in the Lexington Convention Center Bluegrass Ballroom. A shuttle is available from the parking lot.

Scheduled speakers include Dr. Monica Parker from Emory University and Dr. Sanjay Asthana from the University of Wisconsin.

Speakers from the University of Kentucky will include Ronan Murphy, Gregory Jicha, Hardin Stevens and Kelly Parsons.

The event is free and open to the public, but you must register to attend.
