Arts and music featured in “OLLI and the Arts”

A fun afternoon of music and the arts is being presented April 25.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Kentucky presents “OLLI and the Arts,” a concert and art exhibit at 3 p.m. April 25 at Tates Creek Christian Church.

Featuring the OLLI Chorus and an art and photography exhibit, the event is free and open to the public.

OLLI at UK offers a wide variety of educational and enrichment courses, shared interest groups, forums, daytrips and events for adults aged 50 or older.

OLLI has sites in Lexington, Morehead and Somerset with a curriculum that varies each semester.

Refreshments will be served at the concert, which takes place at Tates Creek Christian Church, 3150 Tates Creek Road, Lexington.

John Stegner is the chorus’ musical director, Debby Owen is the assistant musical director and the artists are from various OLLI visual arts and photography classes.
