An IMPACT event that addresses the links between cultural, lifestyle and aging that are impacting the African American community will take place at the Lyric Theatre, 3-5 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 29.

Presentations will be made by Dr. Jessica Dowe, a family medicine doctor with Louisville’s Dr. Dowe Medical Clinic and Dr. Richard D. King, associate professor of neurology at the University of Kentucky and co-director of the MD/PhD program at UK Healthcare.

Adults, seniors and caregivers are invited to the session that will also include light refreshments and resource materials.

The Lyric Theatre and Cultural Arts Center is located at 300 E. Third St., in Lexington. Pre-registration is strongly suggested given limited seating.
