Bluegrass Care Navigators will be opening the Bluegrass Adult Day Health Care Center in Frankfort, Ky., in the second half of 2017.
The Navigators’ Adult Day Health Care Centers will provide care and companionship for older adults who need assistance or supervision during the day as well as those of any age who have Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia.
The Center will offer assistance to family members and caregivers, allowing them to go to work, handle personal business or just relax while knowing their relative is well cared for and safe.
For participants, meals, help with self-administration of medications, personal care services, self-care training, social activities and recreation activities will be provided daily by the Bluegrass Care Navigators’ trained staff.
At the center, participants will enjoy a safe, friendly environment and a sense of belonging to a community, which helps to decrease feelings of isolation. The center will give participants a break from his or her caregiver while providing important social interaction.
Intensive health, therapeutic and social services will also be provided for individuals with serious medical conditions and those at risk of requiring nursing home care. Coming to an adult day health center helps to maintain quality of life and independence.
More on the center location and specific services to be offered will be coming soon. Visit https://www.bgcarenav.org/ for more information.
