Judge Pamela Goodwine, Kentucky Court of Appeals 5th Appellate District, will be the keynote speaker at the Next Best Years of Your Life.

It takes place on Sept. 20 at the Fayette County Extension office.

Goodwine, the first black female judge elected to the bench in Kentucky, will speak on “Overcoming Life’s Obstacles – Yes You Can!”

She is the former chair of the Kentucky Commission on Human Rights and is the winner of numerous awards including the 2019 Fair Administration of Justice Award from the Kentucky Academy of Defense Lawyers.

In addition to her presentation, the day-long program will look at estate planning, healthy eating, physical activity and the risks and benefits of medications, including over the counter supplements.

The program will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. with lunch included. Cost is $12 and covers the price of a continental breakfast, lunch and materials. For more information, call 859-257-5582.
