In celebration of November being National Caregiver’s Month and National Alzheimer’s awareness Month UK Elder Care is hosting a Senior Resource Fair along with a half-day Dementia Care Workshop – Seeing It from the Other Side on Friday November 10.

The featured speaker will be Kathy Tuckey, a Teepa Snow, Positive Approach, LLC educator and speaker with more than 30 years’ experience in gerontology.

Caring for an elderly loved one with dementia poses many challenges for both the family caregiver and the professional caregiver. The goal of this half-day workshop is to provide education and support to those caring for someone with dementia and to help them move from ‘just dealing with the disease’ to being an empowered positive care partner.

How to register:

  • Senior Resource Fair – free to attend the resource fair and meet with exhibitors.
  • “Seeing It from the Other Side” Workshop – $10
