A new partnership with Toyota Motor Manufacturing, Kentucky has been announced by ITNBluegrass, an independent transportation network.

The partnership will fund mobility for low-income seniors to receive their COVID-19 vaccine.

“We are overwhelmed with the generosity of Toyota to ensure our community’s most vulnerable have the mobility access they need to get their life saving ‘shot of hope,'” said Jennifer Gripshover, executive director of ITNBluegrass.

In total, Toyota is giving $40,000 to support the vaccination effort and also to fund scholarships for low income riders.

The vaccine rides are immediately available. Call 859-252-8665 for more information.

All rides will feature ITN’s signature supportive arm, arm-through-arm guidance, and extra care to make sure each person gets from their home door through each door and back home through their door safely after receiving their lifesaving vaccine.

Scholarships from the Toyota Inclusive Senior Mobility Scholarship to fund general rides will become available later in the spring as the first priority right now is the vaccination effort. More information will be forthcoming.
