At this year’s I know expo – from noon to 5 p.m. April 12 at the Lexington Center – we’ll have a Rec Room full of ideas for how you can spend your free time.
For example, local business Henkel Denmark Landscape will share information about gardening and the benefits it can have for your physical and mental health.
A representative from The University of Kentucky’s OLLI program – otherwise known as the Osher LifeLong Learning Institute – will give you details about the program and events for lifelong learners who are 50+ and are continually searching for opportunities to learn.
And Lexington Fayette County’s Parks and Recreation Department’s personnel will share with you all it has to offer in senior adult programs that are designed to keep seniors active. From its adult water exercise classes to its trips – who wouldn’t want to spend the day out at Keeneland betting on the horses or visit LaComedia Dinner Theatre in Springboro, Ohio and take in a show? – Parks and Recreation has it all.
Be sure to visit The Rec Room at April 12’s i know expo!
