A family caregiver workshop, specialized for family caregivers, will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., March 10 at the Boyle County Public Library, 307 W. Broadway St., Danville.
It will offer information about Alzheimer’s disease and caregiving and will also provide an opportunity to reflect, regenerate, and gain a new perspective on caregiving issues.
Local and statewide experts who specialize in aging and Alzheimer’s care will present topics that are valuable to family caregivers of persons with dementia. This training is designed specifically for family caregivers and is therefore not open to those who are professional caregivers.
The workshop fee is $10 and includes lunch. Registration is required. The deadline is March 3. To register, call 1-800-272-3900.
The event is jointly sponsored by UK Sanders Brown Center on Aging, Baptist Health Medical Group Neurology, and the Alzheimer’s Association.
